The announcement text: |
An international practice, corporately they have a well deserved reputation for excellence. As a whole the practice is recognised as one of the country’s top 50 employers and operates from over 30 offices and employs over 2500 people. Since its opening five years ago, the Leeds office has become a hub for the organisation in the North, acting as a centre for excellence in a number of sectors.
The ‘Process’ Team in Leeds (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Instrumentation) has only recently been established in this office in order to develop business opportunities in the north of England. This area of the business has been identified as a key growth area so now is the perfect time to join and develop a career where you will be encouraged to develop as far as possible with the full support of a major organisation.
Teams in other offices already have a busy workload and they are confident that the team in Leeds can establish itself and become a key team within the group. Work is from a range of sectors and is mainly focused on treatment of waste water, primarily for water authorities but also for industrial and chemical engineering clients.
As a leading organisation they are able to compliment their excellent working environment with a flexible benefits package that allows employees to trade the value of their package and exchange it for a wide variety of benefits including:
- 25 days rising to 28 (option to buy and sell plus you get your birthday off) - Travel Insurance - Pension - Life assurance - Long term disability cover - Company car at Senior Grades - Bicycle loans - Private healthcare - Bonus scheme
Excellent opportunity to join one of the worlds leading engineering organisations in the role of Electrical Project Engineer. Joining a large multi-disciplinary office in Leeds you will be part of a newly formed team which will deliver projects across central and northern England.
Projects are diverse in nature but will mostly be delivered for clients in the water industry. As a Project Engineer you will assume project management responsibilities, delivering design packages for a range of electrical installations that typically include:
- Electrical distribution - Cabling - Motor control centres - Automation * control systems - SCADA - Instrumentation * telemetry
Schemes are a mixture of new build and refurb works and initially you will liaise with colleagues in other offices to support their workload, eventually running your own schemes from Leeds as the business develops.
You will see schemes through from concept to handover and will be expected to work under minimal supervision to co-ordinate contractors and liaise with internal and external project teams. You will also be required to assume overall financial monitoring for the schemes you deliver.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive area of the business and become a key player in their future development. As such the role offers excellent career prospects and for the right candidate this will offer an excellent career step towards a senior management role.
